Hermès was hosting the opening of their new store in the Stanford Shopping Center. The event needed to welcome a new Hermès community by putting on a breath-taking show for 500 guests in a 6,724 sq foot tent showing commitment to craft in a tech-minded bay area.

THE STORY

Chairigami created a grand entrance, elevating cardboard to the status of simple, raw luxury. We built a French bistro complete with cafe tables and cardboard stools surrounding a cardboard fountain. Cocktails tables invited new conversations while benches lining the walls supported more intimate connection. And when the hour struck, the cardboard furniture was easily moved to make way for a dance party.  Hermès made headlines in several top fashion blogs and local bay area news sites, setting the stage for record-breaking opening week sales at their new location.
